“Comfort My People,” a special worship service for grieving persons has been scheduled at Georgetown First United Methodist Church for Sunday evening, December 16 at 5:00pm. The gathering will include special music by Rachel Taylor, Kristina Skibo and Joseph Henderson, the singing of Christmas carols, prayer, a word of encouragement and a candlelighting in memory of lost loved ones. Refreshments will be provided afterwards for those wanting to stay and chat.
A copy of the classic little book, “Good Grief” by Granger Westberg, will be given to each participant courtesy of Johnson’s Funeral Home and the church. This is a FREE event open to the public. The church is located at 1280 Lexington Road in Georgetown, Kentucky. Rev. Greg Gallaher and Rev. Jeremy Arnold are the pastors.
